Ayushmann Khurrana And Kartik Aaryan Approached By Imtiaz Ali For A Biopic

If reports are to be believed then Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan have both been approached by Imtiaz Ali for his next directorial. The Rockstar director is planning to make a biopic of the famed Punjabi folk singer Amar Singh Chamkila who was also popularly known as the Elvis of Punjab.

The director has already acquired the rights from the family of the singer to make the biopic on his life and the project is already in its scripting stages. Of course, Ayushmann and Kartik have been approached to play the lead roles in the film although it is yet to be known who will play which role, but surely it would be interesting to see them on screen together for the first time.

Interestingly, Kartik has already finished shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal sequel Aaj Kal with Sara Ali Khan and has been quite the headlines for Kartik and Sara’s off-screen dynamics. With Ayushmann though, it would be the director’s first collaboration and we are rather excited what this killer duo will have in store for us. Also, Ayushmann in a singer’s biopic definitely sounds like a good idea. After the reports, we are surely excited to know more details about the project for the horse’s mouth itself.
