Brahmastra: This Is The Role That South Superstar Nagarjuna Is Playing In The Ranbir-Alia Starrer

Whether it is the coming together of Ranbir Kapoor or Alia Bhatt for the first or the promise of a world-class fantasy film, Brahmastra is surely one of the most awaited films in Bollywood right now. Apart from Ranbir and Alia, Amitabh Bachchan, Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy are also going to be a part of it. While all the character details have been kept under wraps, sources have managed to divulge some details about what character Nagarjuna is going to play.

According to sources, Nagarjuna is going to play the role of an archaeologist who along with his students conducts an expedition to restore an ancient temple on the banks of Ganga in Varanasi. Ranbir and Alia’s characters will reach him after stumbling upon an important clue. Earlier reports also suggested that all the characters will end up in Varanasi in one or the other way where an epic sequence will take place.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji or Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fame, Brahmastra was slated for a Christmas 2019 release. However, makers took to social media to announce that the film has been delayed due to VFX works and will now release sometime in mid-2020.
