Laal Kaptaan Day 1 Box-Office- The Saif Ali Khan Starrer Collects Only Half A Crore!

This Friday, i.e., on 18^th October 2019, there had been a number of releases. Right from Saif Ali Khan starrer Laal Kaptaan to Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil to Vikram Bhatt’s Ghost, there had been other small films that hit the theatres as well. Sadly, yesterday’s box-office numbers have been the weakest in a long time as well.

While Vikram Bhatt’s Ghost lacked promotion, the releases to look out for definitely included Saif’s Laal Kaptaan and Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil which had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dub for Angelina Jolie’s character. Saif’s film was expected to open to at least a crore, but the film fared poorer than even Maleficent.

Laal Kaptaan could not attract the audiences and collected a mere 50 lakhs approx. on Day 1, according to Box Office India. This is lower than even The Zoya Factor. In fact, according to Koimoi, the numbers might not pick up even on Saturdays. If we see the advance booking rates, it has been very low even in the metros, which had been the main target audience of the film. The film desperately needs to pick up, or else this would turn out to be a disaster!
