Deepika Padukone Has Double Role In Ranveer Singh’s 83, Find Out More

No, we are not talking about seeing two Deepika Padukone's on screen, though that would be awesome! But we are talking about Deepika donning two hats for Ranveer Singh’s latest release 83.

There has been a lot of conjecture around whether Deepika is going to be a part of 83 or not. Well, according to recent reports, Deepika will not only play the role of Ranveer’s wife in 83 but she will also turn a co-producer for the film.

A source close to the film revealed, “Deepika has been locked for Kabir Khan's next film '83. The film that revolves around India's 1983 World Cup victory, will primarily focus on Kapil Dev's story. The film has an ensemble cast being lead by Ranveer and now, DP too has given her go ahead to the film." While many might think DP has just a cameo in the film, we hear it's quite different. The informer adds, "Deepika has a good role because she plays Kapil's wife Romi Bhatia who was also a pageant winner. In fact, as far as the story goes, she had left the stadium after India started losing the wickets. But when she heard that they are on the verge of winning the World Cup, she came back to the stadium. That part is extremely dramatic. Also, the film will delve into the relationship between the husband and wife, their love story.”

So far, Deepika and Ranveer have never had a happy ending in any of their films, even in Finding Fanny where Ranveer has a cameo they did not end up together.  Looks like Kabir Khan’s 83 will finally be the film that is going to be give them a happy ending on-screen.
