Taapsee Pannu not in a villainous role in Vai Raja Vai

Arrambam actress Taapsee Pannu will be seen in a guest appearance in Aishwarya Dhanush’s romantic thriller, Vai Raja Vai, as reported earlier. The tinsel town has been abuzz with reports that Taapsee has been hired to play a villain in the film. But the actress has denied any such role saying it is definitely a jittery one and quite different from her previous roles.

The 26-year-old actress cleared the air saying, "I play Shreya, an aloof girl who is a regular at casinos. She is neither on the hero's side nor the villain's. She does what she is being told to, and has nothing to gain or lose from the hero and the villain's win or defeat. I'm not playing the villain in the film; there's Daniel Balaji too in it!" She added, "I don't gamble, and I'm not a big fan of casinos too. I don't believe in staking your hard-earned money against luck, and don't advocate it to my friends as well. But, for this film, I had to act like I was a pro-gambler and go around tables placing bets. In fact, this was the first time ever that I entered a casino!" Taapsee will be co-starring Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand in the film.
