The couple started dating in 2015 after having first met at a friend's house party where Rubina floored Abhinav looking stunning in a saree.

Rubina confessed in an interview that she proposed to Abhinav who kept her hanging for 9 months before saying 'yes'.

The duo also motivate each other professionally. In fact, it was Abhinav who urged Rubina to take up the show Shakti after several actresses had rejected it.

Instead of a opting for a star studded wedding in Mumbai, the couple got married in Shimla in June 2018. Rubina was one of the first actresses to ditch red at her wedding.
