YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani hints at making Bollywood debut in his own directed film, says 'India me bhi kabhi attempt nahi hua hai'
Ashish revealed that he has been working on writing and directing his own film for two years. He also added that he has been looking for right oppotunity to take the plunge in Bollywood.
After YouTubers Harsh Beniwal, Bhuvam Bam, Prajakta Koli, and CarryMinati’s Bollywood debuts, fans are eagerly waiting for funnyman Ashish Chanchlani to sizzle on screen. Much to fans’ delight, the YouTuber has given an update on his acting debut in the film industry recently. He revealed that he has been working on writing and directing his own film despite being offered several film projects.
In a recent interaction with Instant Bollywood, Ashish was asked about his Bollywood debut. To which he replied, “Film offers mujhe bahot aate hai but I am waiting for the right opportunity. And I might write my own film and direct. Main do saal se uski planning kar raha hu, (I have been preparing for it for two years)I hope woh ho jaye. It’s something that I have never done before and India me bhi kabhi attempt nahi hua hai(It is something which has never been attempted in India)” Watch the video here:
Soon after his video surfaced, the netizens reacted to his film offers and trolled him. One user wrote, “ YouTube Tak thik tujhe hum movie me dekhna hi nhi chahte. ghanta kon offer diya isko”( We don’t want to see him in movies, who has offered him a movie?) Another commented, “Haha Nach Na Jaane Angan Teda” For the unversed, Ashish had made his TV debut with the show, Pyaar Tune Kya Kia in 2016. He has also collaborated with actors like Shahid Kapoor, and Kartik Aaryan in his YouTube videos.
Earlier, Ashish was rumoured to be making his debut with filmmaker Rohit Shetty. “I have talked to Rohit sir. For now, he asked me to go to the gym. So, this is the current status. But may be one day, I will be seen in a Rohit Shetty film, “ he had told during an event. Meanwhile, he was previously offered the role of Maniesh Paul in Jug Jugg Jeeyo which stars Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor. He didn’t accept the role since he didn’t want to play Kiara’s brother in the movie.
