The latest episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 was surely an emotional rollercoaster ride with the theme being ‘Family Week.’ The contestants gave tribute to their families and friends along with people who helped them move forward in life. However, one of the most gut-wrenching performances was by Shilpa Shinde who opened up about her family abandoning her during difficult times.

Shilpa Shinde could be seen saying in her AV how her family members only stood by her when she was successful but when it came to the time of distress, they were quick to leave her side. She also said that the only person in her family who understood her was her father who is sadly no more now. Her performance in Shershaah’s song ‘Mann Bharya’ sees her depicting how her family never supported her during challenging times like her leaving her TV show Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain after a dispute with the makers. Instead, her family was shown to only flock to her when she won Bigg Boss 11 and also took credit for the same.

After the episode, Shilpa Shinde’s brother Ashutosh Shinde took to his social media to state, “Today's episode was a tough one for her. It takes courage to share some inside facts about our own family. She could have been judged negatively, but she has a wonderful fan family who loves her beyond no bounds. Thanks for being with her always.” Madhuri Dixit was seen giving a hug to an emotional Shilpa after her act and also urged the actress’ mother to express love to her daughter more often.
