Former Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover is in the news again for his controversial statement on the sharks participating in Season 3 of the show. Grover, who is also the co-founder of BharatPe, on Sunday took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared the promo of Shark Tank India Season 3 with a caption, “Shark Tank 3 is ‘audition’ of sharks for Shark Tank 4 ! Life mein ek lesson hai - don’t change and make unnecessary problem of something which is already solved. Wish quantity solves for quality!”
The reaction comes after Shark Tank India via its official X handle shared the promo recently claiming that the number of sharks has risen to 12 from 6 in the third season of the show. “This new season, the stakes are going to be higher, with 12 SHARKS in the TANK! (shark and star-eyed emojis) Introducing Ritesh Agarwal, Varun Dua, Deepinder Goyal, Azhar Iqubal, Radhika Gupta, and Ronnie Screwvala as the 6 new Sharks of Shark Tank India Season 3,” said the caption.
From Edelweiss MF CEO Radhika Gupta to Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal, season 3 will have 6 new members in its judge’s panel, increasing the total count to 12. There have been netizens who have missed Ashneer Grover in the show. A social media user commented, “It just is not the same without Ashneer Grover (shrug emoji),” while another said, “Show was dead after s1.” Earlier too, there have been reactions on social media where fans have expressed that Shark Tank India now has lost its flavour after Grover’s exit.
Meanwhile, Shark Tank India 3 will see Aman Gupta (Co-founder and CMO, boAt), Anupam Mittal (Founder, People Group), Namita Thapar (Executive Director, Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Peyush Bansal (Co-founder and CEO, Lenskart) and Vineeta Singh (Co-founder and CEO, Sugar Cosmetics) on the panel for a third straight season, while Amit Jain (Co-founder and CEO, CarDekho) continues from the second season.
