‘We are deeply hurt’: Priyanka’s family hits back at Nimrit’s father for accusing her of buying trolls on Bigg Boss 16

In last night’s episode of Bigg Boss 16 , Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia ’s father joined Salman Khan on stage along with other contestants’ family members. During their panel discussion, the host revealed that her father told their team how online haters who are trolling his daughter are paid trolls. When asked who has bought these trolls according to him, Nimrit’s father accused Priyanka Chahar Choudhary . He told Salman, “Obviously Priyanka. Yes, she’s very very insecure of her (Nimrit). Aur woh day one se hi Nimrit ko target kar rahi hai. Unka toh New Year resolution bhi yahi hai.”

This didn’t go down well with Priyanka’s followers, who came out in her defense on social media. The actress’ team and family have now shared an official statement on Instagram expressing their disappointment. The note read: “We are deeply hurt by the statements made by Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia’s father in yesterday's episode. Sir, this immense love that she's showered across the nation is EARNED not bought.” The statement further points out that Priyanka won the MyGlamm contest and also made history with 4 million tweets thanks to her blood, sweat and tears.

The note concluded, “Also, just like Priyanka, we don't like to mudsling anyone, but now that we're here, we also don't want our silence to be confused with weakness. This is NOT an attack, it's a retaliation.” In the comment section below, many of Priyanka’s fans called out Nimrit for being insecure of her and also slammed latter’s father for making false allegations. Well, Nimrit’s father will be entering the BB house in the upcoming episode for Family Day. Priyanka’s brother will also join her inside the reality show for the same. It will be interesting to see how family members of the contestants add their own tadka to season 16.
