TKSS: Rajpal Yadav reveals he made several attempts to join the army once, shares hilarious tale of shopping for clothes in the kids' section

Rajpal Yadav is the only member of the widely popular Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan film Bhool Bhulaiyaa who will be retaining his role in the upcoming sequel Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. As the actor joined the cast members Kartik Aaryan and Kaira Advani and filmmaker Anees Bazmee for the promotions of the film on The Kapil Sharma Show, the popular comedian jokingly asked the actor why he still remains ‘Chota Pandit’ in the sequel even though 15 years have passed since the release of the original.

Kapil wondered if the actor has some setting with the producer of the film or he simply still fits in his old costumes from the film which prompted him to stick with the project despite everything from the cast to the production going through a change.

Prompted by Kapil’s old robes joke, Rajpal hilariously shared an anecdote of how he had to shop in the kids’ section for clothes in Canada once as the clothes in the regular section didn’t have anything in his size.

“In Canada I went to buy myself clothes once. The men there have an average height of six feet. I was looking for clothes in a mall, I hardly ever go out to shop, so I was disappointed since I didn’t find anything in my size there. My wife said to me, you went to the wrong place, you should have gone to the kids section you would have certainly found something,” Rajpal shared on The Kapil Sharma Show .

“So Kapil, then I went to the kids’ section and I found some amazing clothes in my size. So ,what Anees sir says is actually true, I tried to grow up but the audience never let me and I remain a kid,” he continued.

Anees Bazmee had said complimenting the actor earlier on the show that as Rajpal is loved by the audience, he will always be kid for the audience.

Kapil went on to complement his towering body of work and commenting on the clothes he had worn on the show, the host joked, “You look like the army chief of a small nation.”

“This dream of mine of joining the army remains unfulfilled, I wasn’t able to do it. I tried to join [the army] a couple of times, even tried in the navy,” Rajpal shared.

Kapil had a joke on that too and hilariously told the actor that he could surely make it into the army as a gun.
