Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi reacts after rumours of Shilesh Lodha's exit become a cause of concern.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has once again hit the headlines recently with reports suggesting that actor and poet Shailesh Lodha might be next in line to quit the popular comedy show after Disha Vakani, Neha Mehta .
Shailesh who hasn’t made an appearance on the show in the past few weeks reportedly isn’t too happy with his track on the show and didn’t feel that his dates are being well utilised by the makers.
However, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah showrunner Asit Modi has now reacted to these rumours and said he isn’t aware of any such plans of Shailesh.
Previous reports claimed that Shailesh is miffed with the makers and therefore has refused to shoot for the show while further claiming that he has been setting aside big offers which he wants to focus on instead on Taarak Mehta.
Talking to Times of India, Asit Modi said on reports of Shailesh wanting to drop out, “All my actors have been working for more than 10 years now. I have not been informed or I am not aware that Shailesh wants to quit the show. If there is any development, I will surely speak about it. As of now, I am focussing on how we can make the show more entertaining for the viewers."
While Shailesh might not have reported to the sets to shoot, he did react to the rumours of his exit plans from TMKOC with a cryptic note suggesting that these reports are baseless. However, it hasn’t made any impact on the rumours which continue to spread like wildfire.
A source close to the production also told the publication that while there are differences that have cropped up between the actor and the makers of the Sony SAB show, they are working on finding a resolution and the actor hasn’t yet indicated to the producers of any plans about leaving.
