Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Mandar Chandwadkar aka Bhide breaks silence on Raj Anadkat’s character Tapu’s exit
Actor Mandar Chandwadkar, who plays the role of Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has revealed that he has not seen co-star Raj Anadkat aka Tapu on set since a while. But he has also shared the reason behind this.
Popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making headlines since the past few months. First there was news that the beloved character of Daya Ben , which was earlier played by Disha Vakani, will be returning in the new track. Then there was buzz about Shailesh Lodha aka Taarak Mehta bidding adieu to his character for another show. Well, recently Raj Anadkat ’s name has been doing the rounds. The actor portrays the role of Jethalal’s son Tipendra Jethalal Gada, fondly referred to as Tapu , on the series.
Last month he shared a selfie with Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh , along with the caption: ‘Shot for something really very big with this legend @ranveersingh Can’t control my excitement to share more about this special project of my life. It will be out soon , stay tuned.’ Ever since then, many rumors of his exit from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have surfaced on the internet. Well, in a recent interview with Pinkvilla actor Mandar Chandwadkar who plays the role of Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide, finally commented on these reports.
He was quoted saying, “As artists, we don't know if he has quit the show but he had some health issues due to which he hasn't been shooting for the past few days.” Chandwadkar went on to add, “I haven't seen him on the set.” We are sure Tapu’s fans will take a deep breath of relief after hearing this, because it would have been heartbreaking to see another lovely character leave the show.
