Surbhi Jyoti recalls how she was told dating a certain man would make things 'easy' early in her career

Casting couch is not a new thing. Actors have time and again spoken about how they are often been told that chances of them getting a project would be high if they are 'involved' with some director, producer, casting director or even another actor. Recently, many TV celebs have also opened up about it. Now, Surbhi Jyoti also recalled how early on in her career, she was told to date a man to make her life easy.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Surbhi said that one must not be surprised if they come across any inappropriate proposition. She said, “First of all, you should stop being surprised. I am sure this has been happening. That’s why people have the guts to ask you the same thing. Deny it gracefully because he is coming from some other school of thought. I am coming from some other background.”

Recalling what happened to her, the Qubool Hai actress said, “They started saying that things would have been so much easier if you start dating me. So, I said, ‘I would rather have difficult things’. I am very blunt. Of course, I never got any work through that person.”

The Naagin 4 actress also reveals how people perceive actresses and said, “Acting is one such thing, which I have no idea why, they consider it as a wrong profession. They consider that, especially girls who are in this profession, are not good. I don’t know why they think like that.”

Surbhi has now carved a niche for herself and has a loyal fanbase. Also, her performances have made her a household name.
