Shots fired at Shehnaaz Gill's father Santokh Singh two days after joining politics, escapes unhurt

2021 can be called a stressful year for Shehnaaz Gill . The actress actually had a great start to the year- she had shot for her Punjabi film Honsla Rakh , had posed for photographer Daboo Ratnani and had left fans in awe with her drastic transformation. However, this year took away her BFF, and reported boyfriend Sidharth Shukla . After Sidharth's death, fans and friends were worried about Shehnaaz's health and well-being. Now, she received another blow as an attack was made on her father Santokh Singh. Luckily, he had escaped unhurt.

If reports are to be believed, then two unknown armed men had fired shots at Shehnaaz's father Santok Singh. It seems to be politically motivated as this attack comes just two days after Mr. Singh joined a political party- BJP. The incident took place on Saturday at around 8:30 pm in Amritsar. News report suggests that Santok Singh was on his way to his residence when his security stopped the car to take a break. It was then that these two armed men approached Singh, who was in the driver's seat. As he rolled down the car window, shots were fired at him. His security tried to nab the culprits but was unable to and they escaped. Singh escaped unhurt. 

Singh also alleged that the police has not registered a complaint despite him reporting the incident. Station House Officer of Jandiala Guru police station, Harpreet Singh, told the media that police have recovered four empty bullet shells from the spot. The matter is now under investigation. We pray that no such attack takes place ever, and that Santok Singh stays safe.
