'Shark Tank India is now more of Indian Idol' : The second season of the business show leaves netizens divided, fans want Ashneer Grover back

The second season of Shark Tank India is finally here and the first episode of the same finally aired on Monday (December 2). Now, the first reactions of the same are finally here. After the massive success of the first season, the second season’s onset has left netizens heavily divided. While some fans gave the first episode of Shark Tank India 2 a thumbs up, others questioned its concept and admitted missing former Shark Ashneer Grover .

There were some netizens who found the format of the show to be lousy and thus criticized the first episode. One of the netizens stated, “WTH!!!! @namitathapar and Aman pulled out from a deal just bcoz it was the same industry where Vineeta do her stuff... Shark Tank India is now more of Indian idol.” While another user added, “Disappointed with shark tank India this season, poor people who have the same line of business as any of the judges, will not get investment just because shark doesn't want to lose their friend. What kind of logic is that?” One of the users shared an epic meme of Ashneer Grover and wrote, “Am I the only one missing him in Shark Tank Season 2?” However, the show also had its own fair share of admirers after the first episode.

One of the fans wrote, “Shark Tank is taking entrepreneurs to every home in India, and celebrating them... I think its biggest impact is making entrepreneurship culturally aspirational... IITs, IAS, AIIMS have all been made culturally aspirational, a powerful driving force.... Entrepreneurship will join them." Take a look at some of the tweets.

Meanwhile, talking about Shark Tank India 2, Cardekho co-founder Amit Jain replaced Ashneer Grover for the second season. However, the rest of the sharks remained the same. It will be now interesting to see whether the second season of the show will taste the same popularity as the first one.
