Shailesh Lodha announces new show Waah Bhai Waah amidst rumours of his exit from Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah
Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Shailesh Lodha who is rumoured to be quitting the show has now announced a brand new show.
Actor and poet Shailesh Lodha who has been the Taarak Mehta in Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since the popular show’s inception 14 years ago is finally ready to bid the show goodbye.
Rumours of Shailesh’s departure from Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have been going around for a week and his exit no doubt will be a big blow to both the fans of the show and the makers.
Reports have been suggesting that Shailesh Lodha hasn’t been shooting for Taarak Mehta for a few weeks and is allegedly miffed with the makers for not aptly utilising him time on the show. The reports also claimed that the actor and poet had been getting many opportunities which he had been declining in favour of TMKOC but is now keen on taking up.
At least the latter half of these speculations now seems to have come true as Shemaroo TV has now announced a new show with Shailesh Lodhaa as the host. The show titled Waah Bhai Waah will host satirical poets from across the country and is a format that Lodha has previously worked on and even enjoyed immense success with.
A few days ago, Taarak Mehta maker Asit Modi brushed off rumours of Shailesh’s departure from the show in an interview and said that the actor hasn’t communicated to the team about wanting to quit the show. However, a source close to Times of India had communicated that the makers are busy trying to work things out with Shailesh.
With a new show in tow, it seems unlikely that Shailesh will be able to shoot for both together as Taarak Mehta which airs daily requires a huge chunk of the actors’ time to shoot. The announcement of Waah Bhai Waah in all likelihood is a confirmation of Shailesh Lodha’s exit from Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma, however, him or the makers are yet to make an announcement regarding the same. Reports claim taht the actor will begin shooting for Waah Bhai Waah from today.
