Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 16 pushed to December to make way for a new show?

Bigg Boss fans eagerly await the arrival of a new season of the show every October and then go on to enjoy the fun and controversies that unfold inside the house for several months. However, rumours are rife that the Salman Khan hosted reality show has been pushed by the makers this year to make way for new show. 

Bigg Boss 16 is already in the headlines for speculations over who the new lot of celebrity contestants might be. Bigg Boss OTT 2 is also on its way and has been making headlines for having a new host replacing Karan Johar this year for the digital version. 

However, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is another celebrity-based dance reality show which is making a comeback and has fans immensely excited about it. A few reports have so far claimed that Jalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, which is returning after a gap of 6 years, might hijack the October slot for Bigg Boss and the Salman Khan-hosted reality show will be pushed to arrive in December instead.

Well, that would be long wait for Bigg Boss if the rumour turns out to be true. However, a source has confirmed to Siasat Daily that the reports of Bigg Boss 16 facing delays from its October schedule are untrue which provides a glimmer of hope.

It is likely that both Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and Bigg Boss 16 run parallelly on Colors as did Ranveer Singh 's quiz show The Big Picture will the reality show last year. Jhalak has previously followed the pattern of arriving in June/ July till the last season but the slot is now annually occupied by Khatron Ke Khiladi .

For now, both shows are yet to be officially announced by the channel which would certainly help give us some clarity on the timeline as Bigg Boss OTT which arrived in August last year on Voot has also not been announced yet.
