Roadies 18: Ashish Bhatia and Nandini emerge as winners of the Sonu Sood hosted show, netizens left divided

MTV Roadies Season 18 has finally found its winner in Ashish Bhatia and Nandini . The duo who were popularly known as ‘Nish’ by the fandom of the show won the season after performing many challenging stunts and tasks. The 18th season of the hit and controversial show was hosted by actor Sonu Sood .

This was the first season where the concept of ‘buddy pairs’ was introduced and Ashish Bhatia and Nandini were paired up to perform all the tasks together. The season was shot in South Africa and Ashish-Nandini took home a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh along with some other exciting gift hampers. The winning duo had to lock horns with Kevin Almasifar -Moose Jattana, Yukti Arora-Jaswanth Bopanna, and Gaurav Alugh-Simi Talsania for the final task. Ashish and Nandini defeated all the other pairs while Yukti Arora-Jaswanth Bopanna and Kevin Almasifar-Moose Jattana emerged as the first and second runners-up respectively.

While some fans are happy for Ashish Bhatia and Nandini for emerging as winners of MTV Roadies Season 18, others aren’t too pleased. Some netizens are dissing the winning duo, especially Ashish, and considering Kevin Almasifar as the real winner of the show. A user said, “u guys r real winner of this season and this was incomplete without @rannvijaysingha omg final task was potty hug diya itna easy. @sonu_sood plz dont come back next time bor kr diya tha bhot hope one of u read this message.” Another netizen stated, “@kevinalmasifar you are a real winner for me. Don't worry champ.” However, some fans were also genuinely happy for Ashish Bhatia and Nandini. One fan stated, “Finallyyy bhatia and nandu you guys are winerrrrrr #nish” while another netizen said, “Congratulations to my Fav Buddy Pair.”

In an interview with Pinkvilla post winning the show, Ashish Bhatia said, “When I did Roadies, I became famous but lost in the quarter-finals. Then I also did Splitsvilla. I literally ruled the show and got the hype but lost by 12 seconds, which was worse but I won this season by 12 minutes. This was the battle of the best and more difficult. I am very excited about winning this show as I hail from Dehradun and I had to understand how things operate and shows are done. I used to feel these shows are all fake but after stepping into this world, I realised it's true.”
