Mom-to-be Debina Bonerjee dons traditional Bengali look for her private baby shower

TV actor Debina Bonnerjee, who is expecting her first child with husband Gurmeet Choudhary , shared glimpses from the baby shower on social media. The actor has also revealed that she chose to keep the ceremony private as she has got her baby's company.

Dressed in a red and gold traditional outfit, Debina looked beautiful. Sharing the strings of pictures, she wrote, "'Saadh' or desire in English. Desire for food of a pregnant woman is celebrated by the maternal side (here my mother) by cooking all food the woman loves .. ' Baby shower' in western country and ‘godh bharayi’ in north India saadh in Bengali. I didn’t particularly crave for anything during the whole journey .. so all things my mother could think of she cooked. Wanted to keep it private and entirely upto myself as I already feel a company. In another post she revealed that she herself decked up for the special occasion. She wrote, “Sharing the look I thought of creating. Wanted to look more bangali though but ended up looking Bihari or may be more North Indian. Thanku everyone for keeping me in your blessings. P.s. Earlier, Debina had opened up about her struggle during her third trimester of pregnancy. “Standing in the 3rd trimester … with a swollen feet … many toilet runs… constipated… leaking bouts with sneezes and caugh or even a hearty laugh… reminds me that I am pregnant… reminds me that this is real. … after so many years of no.. it is finally a YES,” she captioned the post detailing her experience. Meanwhile, Debina tied the knot with actor Gurmeet Choudhary back in 2011. The couple fell in love on the sets of the TV show Ramayan in which Gurmeet played the role of Ram and Debina played his wife Sita. The couple announced their pregnancy in February this year.
