The new season of The Kapil Sharma Show is arriving with a revamped plot as the makers introduced new characters added to the comedy show. The new promo that was released on Wednesday welcomed Kapil as Kappu Sharma, Sumona Chakravarti as Kappu ki wife Bindu, Kiku Sharda as Dhoban Gudiya, Chandan Prabhakar as Kappu ka Dost. And new additions include Srishty Rode —Mohalle ki Raunak Ghazal, Gaurav Dubey as Kappu ki saas, Ishtiyak Khan as Kappu ke sasur, Sidharth Sagar as Gharchoddas ustaad ji and Srikant Maski as Chandan’s wife.
The upcoming new season will air from September 10 every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 on Sony TV. Sharing the new promo, the official Instagram page of the channel wrote, “Naye kalakaar, naye kirdaar! Kapil ka yeh parivaar banayega har weekend mazedaar! Dekhiyega zarur #TheKapilSharmaShow 10th September se, Sat-Sun raat 9:30 baje, sirf Sony par.”

But Krushna Abhishek who became synonymous with the show has quit the show. According to Pinkvilla, the comedian, who played Sapna Di, Dharmendra, and Jackky Dada, had disagreements with the producers of the show. Even Ali Asgar, who entertained everyone with his characters Nani and Daadi, has also left the show.
Earlier, Kapil dropped the first teaser of the new season with the caption that read, “Kapil Sharma is back with a new season and new reasons to make you laugh. Watch The Kapil Sharma Show on Saturday and Sunday at 9.30 pm on Sony TV.” For those unaware, the popular comedy show has aired around 387 episodes till now. It temporarily went off-air to accommodate Kapil’s international tour and his other work commitment including his film Zwigato directed by Nandita Das.
