Popular TV actor Bhupinder Singh has been arrested for shooting his neighbors wherein he killed one and injured three. He was arrested three days after the incident wherein he fired at his neighbors who were protesting against him cutting down a tree to erect a fence at his Bijnor farm in Uttar Pradesh. Three police officers were also suspended for not being vigilant on duty on Wednesday (December 6).
According to a news report in the Times Of India, Bhupinder opened fire at his neighbors with his licensed gun on December 3 killing one of his neighbors Govind Singh (23) on the spot. The victim’s father Gurdeep Singh, mother Meera Bai, and brother Amreek Singh have suffered some serious injuries. The victim’s father and brother are especially critical after the incident. Govind’s sister had managed to escape and hide in the fields when Bhupinder started firing at the family.
A news report in English Jagran stated that the victim’s uncle filed a police complaint against the Madhubala: Ek Ishq Ek Junoon actor. While Bhupinder has been arrested, the police are on the lookout for his two accomplices. Another report in News18 stated that Singh resides in the Kuankhera Khadri village wherein he owns a farmhouse. The dispute arose concerning a eucalyptus tree situated on the property boundary. The report further mentioned that DOG Muniraj reached the location timely and enquired about the victim and his injured family members.
Based on the police complaint by the victim’s uncle Jeet, the Ek Haseena Thi actor and his house help Gyan Singh, Jeevan Singh, and Gurjar Singh were accused of murder. Bhupinder and Gyan were arrested and will be presented in court on Monday (December 11) while Jeevan and Gurjar are still on the loose. Singh also appeared on TV shows like Rishton Ke Chakravyuh and Tere Sheher Mein.
