Jayeshbhai Jordaar actress Shalini Pandey confesses she loved 'bartan manjna' as a kid, wanted to be a domestic help

The Kapil Sharma Show has a few humorous segments where the comedian manages to bring out some of the best stories from the celebrity guests gracing his show. In a the latest episode, the comedian was joined by Jayeshbhai Jordaar stars Shalini Pandey and Ranveer Singh where the comedian tried to clear the air on a few rumours with them.

Kapil asked Shalini if it is true that that she loved to wash utensils as a kid and was keen on making it her profession when she grew up. The actress hailing from Jabalpur, confessed on the show that it is indeed true that she really wanted to become a domestic help on growing up when she was a kid.

Talking about her love for washing utensils Shalini said on the show, “Mujhe bohot maza ata tha. Mera favourite time pass hota tha ki main, jo humare yahan pe aati thi aunty main unko bolti thi ki please aap mujhe manjne do na [I had a lot of fun. It used to be my favourite pastime as I would ask our household help to let me wash the untensils].” Her co-star Ranveer interjected and asked, “ Abhi bhi shauk hai? [Still fond of it?]” to which Shalini replied while laughing, “Abhin ahi hai [Not anymore].”

Ranveer also addressed a rumour about his days as a student in the U.S.A when Kapil asked if he really cooked and sold Butter Chicken for money. Ranveer explained, “Paise nahi milte they uske lekin dusre kaam karwane ke liye main barter kar leta tha. Woh log ghar ko miss karte they, chahe who Delhi se ho, ya Lahore se hoy a kahin se bhi ho. Ab wahan khana bada bland sa hota hai, humari tarah spicy, mazedaar nahi hota. Toh main khana theek hai main ek paintra use karta hoon, main inke liye khana banata hoon, khilata hoon aur phir apne kaam nikalta hoon. Apna homework kisi aur se kara liya … Aur aeisi Butter Chicken banata tha main, Archana ji line-lagi padi rehti thi meri ghar ke bahar [I don’t charge for it, but used it to have others do some things for in in exchange like a barter. Those guys used to be homesick, whether they are from Delhi or Lahore. The food there was bland so I came up with plan to cook for them in exchange for having them do my homework. The Butter Chicken was so good that people queued up outside my house].”

Ranveer hilariously also gave away his Butter Chicken recipe making everyone laugh out loud at how he cheated. “Toh basically kya hota tha, cheating hoti thi, ek readymade packet ata tha, who daal diya, thoda butter daal diya, thoda chicken daal diya aur ban gaya [Basically it was cheating. I used a readymade packet and added some butter an chicken to it and it was all done],” Ranveer said.
