'Iski ijjat ki dhajiyn udai': Sumbul Touqeer's fans blame Salman Khan for calling her obsessed with 40-year-old Shalin Bhanot

In the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode of the reality show Bigg Boss 16, host Salman Khan schooled Sumbul Touqeer Khan for her ‘obsession’ with Shalin Bhanot . He asked her, “Itni kaunsi gehri dosti hai ki Tina ko panch minute nahi degi baat karne ke liye (what kind of a close friendship is this that Sumbul will not let Tina speak to Shalin for even five minutes)?”Even Tina Datta and Nimrit Ahluwalia agreed with Salman’s statement about Sumbul being possessive. On the other hand, Sumbul justified herself by saying that she is the kind of person who is caring for her friends and close ones and has nothing other than friendship for Shalin She burst into tears and pleaded to leave the house. After this whole episode, Sumbul’s fans have been blaming Salman for character assassinating the 19-year-old girl and calling her obsessive for the 40-year-old actor.

Sumbul fans flocked to the micro-blogging site Twitter and shared their reactions. While one of the social media users wrote, “Character assassination of a 19-year-old girl who just exists, minds her business in the house. she is targetted for things she isn't responsible for. a 30-year-old insecure woman keeps bitching about her all the time. everyone is just OBSESSED with her BUT- “ Another stated, “Everyone using for voting and TRP#SumbulTouqueerKhan The way his character is being tossed this is very disrespectful. During the episode, Salman Khan also expressed his concern for Sumbul and advised her to stay away from Shalin as her father wouldn’t be happy watching her like this. On the other hand, Shalin reconciled with Tina Datta and took her side without taking into consideration Sumbul whom he called his friend. Meanwhile, Gautam Singh Vig became the latest to leave the house in the nomination week.
