Dheeraj Dhoopar reveals he was emotional while leaving Kundali Bhagya; says ‘If I get a single call from Ekta..’

It came as a big shock to fans when actor Dheeraj Dhoopar announced that he is bidding Kundali Bhagya and his beloved character Karan Luthra adieu back in June this year. Some thought that he was taking a paternity break from work. But Dheeraj was actually stepping out of his comfort zone to take on new challenges as an actor. Audiences who adored him and his chemistry with Shraddha Arya aka Preeta were heartbroken. Well, it wasn’t easy for Dheeraj either.

In a recent chat with ETimes, the actor revealed that it was a difficult decision for him to leave Kundali Bhagya. Dheeraj was quoted saying, “I was very emotional when I had to leave the show. I am still emotional about Karan Luthra. The character will always be my baby and I have spent the best moments of my life on the sets of Kundali Bhagya. Balaji is like my second home. If I get a single call from Ekta and Balaji I’ll be back in the production.”

He further shared that whatever he is today is because of Kundali Bhagya. While it has not been easy, Dheeraj is now looking forward to his new responsibilities. He has embarked on the journey of fatherhood and is also competing in dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. Apart from these two new and exciting roles in his life, Dheeraj has also announced his next show titled Sherdil Shergill . He will be reuniting with his Naagin 5 co-star Surbhi Chandna in this romantic series, which is all set to premiere on television on 26th September.
