Dheeraj Dhoopar confirms his exit from Kundali Bhagya isn't fake news, fans says 'will never accept anyone else'

Dheeraj Dhoopar ’s decision to quit Zee’s long running show Kundali Bhagya has come as a shocker for fans. The actor who played the lead, Karan Luthra on the show, has now said in an interview that his exit from the show is due to the demand of the script and added that co-incidentally he happened to have been approached for other opportunities at the same time.

“I still can’t believe that I am no longer a part of Kundali Bhagya. The feeling is yet to sink in. Karan and Dheeraj are alike and hence, there is no way that I can be separated from Karan. I am bidding adieu to KB with a heavy heart but as I said, the time is opportune to embark on a new journey both for the show and me,” Dheeraj told Bombay Times in an interview.

Rumours have been rife that Dheeraj, who has been a part of Kundali Bhagya for five years, will return to the show in some time. However, it seems to more the wishful thinking of a few fans than anything else as the actor now looks forward to ca career in Hindi and Punjabi films as well as on OTT.

Dheeraj is clearly aware of how the fans of Kundali Bhagya initially thought the news of his exit to be fake and how emotional his departure from the show is making them. But the actor is one to count his blessings and called this an example of what he has earned while working on the show.

With Dheeraj’s exit from the show, makers have now roped in actor Shakti Arora to play the new hero Arjun on the show. Fans, however, have registered their displeasure on social media as they wish to see only Dheeraj opposite Shraddha Arya who is the female lead of the show.
