‘Can't stop my tears’: Fans celebrate Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui’s victory; trolls feel we failed as a society
Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 17 last night. While fans are celebrating his victory, many other netizens are expressing their disappointment
Last night, another exciting season of Bigg Boss came to an end when Bollywood’s Bhaijaan and superstar host Salman Khan announced the winner. After Arun Srikanth Mashettey’s eviction, the competition was between Ankita Lokhande, Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar and Mannara Chopra. Fans were sure that Ankita would make it to the top 2 of season 17. But they were in for a shock because she was the next to be eliminated. In the end, thanks to his millions of fans, Munawar emerged as the winner whereas Abhishek became the first runner up. Well, netizens aren’t too happy.
Some of them are. A majority of fans are celebrating Munawar’s victory on social media but there are many netizens who believe that we have failed as a society. For instance, an ecstatic fan tweeted: “I'm so so so so so so happy i can't express my feelings literally I can't stop my tears MUNAWAR THE DEFINITE WINNER”, whereas another follower shared, “Congratulations on your well-deserved trophy! @munawar0018 Your hard work and dedication have truly paid off. May this achievement be the first of many more to come. Well done! 🏆👑.”
But like we said, there were several tweets by disappointed netizens as well. Reacting to Munawar’s victory, a social media user shared, “The one who makes fun of Hindu deities and plays with the lives of girls is today the winner of Bigg Boss. We failed as a society 💔”, whereas another tweet read: “We failed as a Nation , a hater monger j!hadi won Bigg Boss today. We should feel ashamed of ourselves and Bigg Boss should be boycotted in mass for declaring that Adharmi is the winner.”
Many others, including ex contestant Isha Malviya, claimed that Abhishek was a more deserving winner and had a more fulfilling journey inside the BB house. In your opinion, was Munawar the most deserving winner of Bigg Boss 17?
