Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui celebrates his birthday with Salman Khan, MC Stan; takes home trophy and a car

When stand up comic and Lock Upp winner Munawar Faruqui was walking into the Bigg Boss 17 house, many fans predicted that he would emerge victorious. However, there were several bumps in the road during his journey. The biggest speed breakers being Ayesha Khan’s entry as a wild card and Munawar’s confession about cheating on his girlfriend Nazila Sitaishi. Many contestants, including Samarth Jurel and Isha Malviya, even felt that the stand-up comic was ‘undeserving’. Nevertheless, thanks to his fan following, Munawar managed to emerge as the winner last night after beating Abhishek Kumar, Mannara Chopra and Ankita Lokhande.

Along with the unique trophy, Munawar took home a cash prize as well as a brand new car! That’s right. He was honoured with a whopping amount of Rs 50 lakh and was awarded the keys to a Hyundai Creta. Interestingly, the grand finale night was held on 28th January, the same day that Munawar turned 32. So after winning the reality show, he celebrated his birthday at Bollywood’s Bhaijaan and superstar host Salman Khan’s chalet on set. He was joined by his good friend and rapper MC Stan, who won the previous season of Bigg Boss. A video of Munawar’s cake cutting ceremony has now surfaced on the internet.

Producer Raghav Sharma shared pictures from the set featuring Munawar, his trophy and his buddy MC Stan. The birthday boy also shared a picture with Salman, as they posed with the trophy. In the caption below, Munawar expressed his gratitude and wrote: “Bohot Bohot Shukriya Janta❤️Aapke pyaar aur support ke liye Aakhir kar Trophy Dongri aa hi gayi 🏆❤️Special thanks to Bade Bhai @beingsalmankhan Sir for all your guidance ❤️ Saari #munawarkijanta aur #munawarkewarrior ka dil se shukriya ❤️ #Karliya 🏆.”

While Munawar emerged as the winner, Abhishek became the first runner up. Mannara got the spot of second runner up whereas Ankita was evicted right after Arun Srikanth Mashettey.
