Bigg Boss 17 Day 80 Highlights: Abhishek Kumar slaps Samarth Jurel; Ankita Lokhande becomes the new captain

The fights and disagreements in the Bigg Boss 17 house are turning uglier day by day. In the last episode, the argument between Abhishek Kumar, Isha Malviya and Samarth Jurel reached to a level where Abhishek lost his calm and slapped Samarth. The Bigg Boss announced the captaincy task in which Abhishek didn’t get a chance to participate. Ankita Lokhande became the latest captain of the house.

The episode began with Samarth telling Isha that Abhishek is now after Ayesha, reacting to which Mannara said that any girl works for him. Vicky, Munawar and Ankita spent time together, while Arun read the message that there would be a captaincy task. Then Isha, Vicky and Ankita discussed the captaincy task. Vicky told Ankita to beware if she becomes the captain. Then he began to discuss wild cards following which Abhishek and Samarth got into an ugly verbal spat. Vicky asked Ankita to not jump into their fight as she began to argue with Abhishek. Further, Samarth instigated Abhishek by bringing up his mental health and his father. Isha also joined him to poke Abhishek further. Amid this, Munawar commented that the trio has stooped too low on the show and Ankita agreed. A moment came when Abhishek told Bigg Boss that he would raise his hand as they continued to poke him, and he ended up slapping Samarth.

Later, Abhishek realised his mistake and was seen apologising on camera for getting into a physical fight with Samarth. Munawar reprimanded him for his action after which they both got into an argument. Then Bigg Boss called Ankita, Mannara and Arun to the confession room to understand what led to the situation. All of them said both Samarth and Abhishek are at fault but the latter gets uncontrollable. Bigg Boss said that he is keeping an eye on everyone and knows about all mistakes. He added that Abhishek won’t be a part of the captaincy task for now.

The captaincy task began where housemates had to convince the past captains–Munawar, Isha and Aoora to allow them to become the next captain. At each round, one contestant from the captaincy race got eliminated after all the past captains made a joint decision. Firstly, Ayesha was eliminated, then followed by Arun and Mannara’s elimination from the task. In the next rounds, Samarth and Vicky got eliminated, leaving Ankita to be the captain of the house. Later, Munawar told Abhishek that he might be forgiven or punished, he should just meditate. Bigg Boss asked Munawar if he was punished or forgiven, to which Munawar said he is not sure.
