Bigg Boss 17 Day 78 Highlights: Munawar celebrates Anurag’s surprise eviction, Ayesha gives him silent treatment

The first Monday of 2024 in Bigg Boss 17 began with a major argument between Anurag Dobhal and Munawar Faruqui. Ayesha Khan’s name was mentioned and a lot of other things were said. But this was just the beginning of a war which got worse later. But the biggest highlight of the episode was when Ayeshsa Khan returned. She greeted everyone nicely but ignored Munawar. Nevertheless, he cooked khichdi for her when Ankita Lokhande asked him to. However, Ayesha refused to eat it and told Ankita she would make it herself. Ayesha continued to give Munawar the silent treatment.

Later Ayesha told Abhishek Kumar that Munawar is a complete liar and brought up the 'halal' topic once again. Ayesha is convinced that Munawar meant ‘getting married’ when he said ‘halal’. However, Munawar clarified on Weekend Ka Vaar that he was saying his life is ‘halal’. When she told Anurag that Munawar has no emotions, latter claimed that Munawar was smiling when Ayesha left due to medical reasons. However Ankita cleared the air by revealing that Munawar was not smiling. Ankita and Mannara also told Ayesha not to believe what others are saying. When Ankita told Munawar about this, he and Anurag got into a verbal spat yet again.

For the first nominations of the year, Bigg Boss decided to make things more interesting. Only current captain Aoora and past captains Munawar and Isha Malviya got a chance to nominate contestants. Munawar chose Anurag, Isha chose Ayesha and Aoora chose Abhishek. Bigg Boss decided to get rid of the extra crowd as undeserving contestants don't deserve to live in the house. The rest of the housemates then got the power to decide who deserves to be evicted. With every vote, the nominated contestants got a shock on their arm.

While Abhishek got Mannara’s vote, Anurag was nominated for eviction by Arun, Ankita, Samarth and Vicky. Before leaving, Anurag declared that he will miss Mannara the most and asked Abhishek and Ayesha to take care of her. Ayesha broke down and Munawar tried to console her. Mannara was also in tears while Munawar celebrated Anurag’s exit. But he later sympathized with her and apologized for being mean.

Post nominations, Abhishek refused to do his duty. Ayesha asked Abhishek not to do so, but Aoora misunderstood and thought she was saying something rude about him. He picked up the blanket which she was covering her face with and slammed it back in anger. Later Aoora understood he was wrong and apologized to Ayesha.

In a task, three teams had to clean toilets while their competitors tried to make it dirtier. Mannara, Isha and Samarth won this task. Later at night Munawar and Ayesha sat down to have a chat. When Munawar celebrated Anurag's eviction by singing a song, Ayesha stopped him. He stated that if he can laugh at his own tragedies, he can definitely laugh at others' tragedies too.
