Bigg Boss 16: Sumbul’s father reveals who is to be blamed for reports of her slashed fees and it’s not Tina

Imlie actress Sumbul Touqeer Khan was a little lost in the first few weeks of Bigg Boss 16 . This is because she was confused about her bonds and didn’t know who to trust or how to play the game. Nevertheless, she is one of the most popular celebs in the show and is also reportedly the highest paid contestant of this season. She was apparently earning Rs 12 Lakhs for each week in the show. However, today morning there were reports which suggested that her fees has been slashed by 50 per cent.

It was reported that Sumbul’s game is not matching expectations which is why post the extension news, her fees has been brought down to Rs 6 Lakhs per week. Well, Sumbul’s father has now waved off these reports as rumours. He has also revealed who should be blamed, and no it’s not his ‘favourite’ contestant Tina Datta . In a chat with ETimes, Touqeer Khan stated, “Ye sirf dusre PR dwara Sumbul ki image or popularity se dar kar, usse sideline karne ke liye kiya jaa raha hai (This is being done because other PRs are scared of Sumbul’s popularity and they want to sideline her).”

He went on to add, “In yesterday's episode, we saw how Priyanka and her friends were trying to nominate Sumbul. Tina wanted to save Ankit and that is why she was forced to not take Sumbul’s name.” Sumbul’s team also clarified that reports of her fees being slashed are baseless. The Imlie star’s fans will surely be happy to hear this. Well, in the last few days Sumbul has definitely upped her game. She is more involved now and also got into a war of words with Tina recently, where she didn’t hold back. Netizens were happy to see her in action.

In tonight’s episode, Sumbul will be tested during a task, where she will have to ignore a guest who reads her father’s letter to her in order to win the ration. We can’t wait to see how she performs!
