Bigg Boss 16 promo: Salman Khan introduces rapper MC Stan, says 'Aisa item pehli baar aya hai...'

With just a few hours away from the big reveal of Bigg Boss 16 contestants, the makers have recently dropped another short promo. Superstar Salman Khan is seen welcoming rapper MC Stan , who shot to fame with his song Wata. The rapper introduced himself by saying that people fondly call him ‘Basti Ka Hasti’.

The video starts with a few candid shots of MC Stan walking on the street with a rap playing in the background. In the next scene, he meets host Salman and says, “Mujhe kehte hai basti ka hasti”, to which Salman replies, “Its like that” He continues, “Mera naam hai adha insaan adha shaitan” (My name is half human half devil). Salman then confesses that he has hosted over twelve seasons of Bigg Boss but for the first time he met such an ‘item’ as a contestant. Watch the promo here:

For those unaware, MC Stan hails from Pune and began singing qawwali from the early age of 12. However, he later got attracted to rapping. His two albums–Insan and Tadipar have been released, however, his dissing rap war with Emiway Bantai made him a popular rapper. Also, his song Wata, which has over 21 million views got him fame. Interestingly, he has also worked with famous rapper Raftaar. He enjoys a massive fan following with 2.78 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Earlier, the makers of Bigg Boss 16 revealed contestants like Abdu Rozik, Gori Nagori, and Nimrat Kaur among others via promo ahead of the show. The show is set to premiere from today, i.e October 1 at 9.30 pm onwards on Colors TV and Voot. Meanwhile, there are reports that Tina Dutta, Gautam Vij, Shalin Bhanot, and Pearl V Puri are speculated to be part of the show as contestants this season.
