Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2: Ekta Kapoor bids adieu to Nakuul & Disha with a special post; reveals new characters of upcoming third part

Television Czarina Ekta Kapoor on Thursday bid farewell to the lead actors- Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar in her serial, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 with an emotional note. As the show will move forward with new stories and characters, Ekta admired the characters of Ram Kapoor and Priya this season. Sharing a short promo from the show, the producer wrote, “A love story of a realist n a dreamer a concious socialist n subconscious capitalist was a recipe fr disaster n maybe a story closer to home !!! @dishaparmar n @nakuulmehta Thanku for bringing d second instalment of ram Priya to life with modern day ideology n urban loneliness at play 0.s like Priya wud say ‘ I don’t care how many investments in profitable organisations u have… but how many non profit organisations r u invested in, sic,”

She began her note by talking about Nakuul’s character Ram, she wrote, “From d pill popping emotional mess who dreams an idealistic love n soaks his loneliness in Oreo ice cream n YRF/dharma movies ram the subconscious capitalist was as passionate about his self grown business as he was about the rains movies n muffins !!!” Further, she narrated the character sketch of Priya saying, “Priya a designed anti thesis was sceptical of the very escapism tropes that brought ram happiness !!! She called them rhe capitalisation of middle class trauma n romantatizing of hardships n pain!!! A self proclaimed realist bordering on sceptisism Priya refused to give in to d trappings of love !! Parental trauma n huge trust issues made Priya clinical and to many a tad bitter! “

Towards the end of her long note, she revealed the names of the new characters who will lead the upcoming third installment of the show. She added, “thankuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu u both ! N to d team let’s take this legacy forward with prachi n Raghav with equal elan! “ For the unversed, Niti Taylor and Randeep Rai are roped in to play the lead actors in the upcoming show.

On the other hand, Nakuul too penned a long note as he shot for the last episode of the show. “It’s safe to assume this could have only been conceived by some wonderful women. To me Indian Television is synonymous with @ektarkapoor! It took me a decade in the industry to earn my stripes and spend the most beautiful 18 months playing a character which could only have been birthed by her. Thank you for your trust & collaboration.
