Asit Modi and Sailesh Lodha's friendship goes sour post former's exit from TMKOC? Producer says 'Unko lagta ho humne bohot kuch kar lia'

Shailesh Lodha ’s exit from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah seems to have rocked the steady boat of what is the biggest show currently running on TV. Producer of the show Asit Modi has finally voiced his views on Shailesh’s exit and looks like thing didn’t quite end on an amicable note with actor who played the titular character of Taarak Mehta on the show.

Amit gave his statement on Shailesh’s exit weeks after the matter made headlines and after all efforts of retaining him didn’t bear fruit. Playing one of the key characters on the show, Shailesh Lodha left show to explore other avenues and Asit Modi is not too pleased with it.

In his statement, Asit has said that the show will not stop while also taking a dig at Shailesh. He said that while he wants to retain all original actors of the show and has even pleaded with them to stay on, he can’t do anything if they feel they have achieved too much and want to go exploring new territories.

"Dekhiye jaise maine pehle bhi kaha hai, mai sabko sath me jod ke rakhna chahta hu. Lekin agar koi log ana hi nahi chahte, unka pet bhar gaya ho, unko lagta ho humne bohot kuch kar lia, aur kuch karna chahiye, humko sirf TMKOC tak seemit nahi rehna, wo nahi samajhna chahte, mai fir bhi unko kehta hu ki bhai sochiye samajhiye. Lekin agar nahi aayenge toh, jarur, show rukega nahi,” Asit Modi says in the video statement which is now viral.

Shailesh Lodha hasn’t been seen on Taarak Mehta for weeks and it was days after his absence was registered by the viewers that news of his exit began doing the rounds. The actor has apparently signed another show years after being a part of TMKOC since its inception.
