Asim Riaz drops truth bombs about reality shows Khatron Ke Khiladi, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa to reveal why he didn't participate
Asim Riaz has revealed what has been keeping him away from reality shows after Bigg Boss 13 and he has some major revelations to make about Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa.
Asim Riaz seems to have risen about above the Indian reality show circuit or at least that’s what his reaction to being approached for popular reality show suggests. A nonchalant Asim said in an interaction ahead of the release of his music video that he’s not anyone’s ‘puppet’ and his statement has certainly come as a shocker.
The model turned actor became a household name after being the first runner up on Bigg Boss 13. He has a loyal fan base that unconditionally supports him in everything he does and has certainly helped him became big success as a rapper too. Asim recently released his single ‘Jeene De’ and in a clip gone viral he can be seen talking about rumours about him signing shows like Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa and Khatron Ke Khiladi .
Asim in the video shot outside a gym says that he’s not that person anymore who sits beside his phone and waits for offers. He clarified that the last time he did that was for Bigg Boss, where he waited for four months for the call to come and when at the last minute, he was convinced he’s not made the cut and decided to head home, he got the call.
However, a similar attitude from the makers of Khatron Ke Khiladi last year didn’t sit well with Asim who terms were agreed to a day before the cast had to leave for Cape Town. Asim would have clearly made a popular addition to the celebrity adventure reality show hosted by Rohit Shetty.
The Bigg Boss 13 runner up said, "Khatron Ke Khiladi, which couldn't happen last year due to the budget. On the last day, which means that they are travelling to Cape Town the next day, they told me ‘Hey! We’ve agreed on the budget.’ Come on, it doesn’t work like that. I am sorry, but I have things to do. So maine dekha ki jhooth phaila rahe hain, bol bol ke last minute pe call karo. I am not a puppet anymore. I am not that Asim who was that behind that ‘Haan bhai mere ko call aayega aur main niklunga’. Woh ek cheez ke liye kiya, who tha reality show Bigg Boss. I waited for four months and was looking at the phone every day ki ‘Ab aayega, ab aayega’. Jab nahi aaya main wapis ghar jaa raha tha but then everything changed.”
He also clarified the rumours about being approached for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa along with girlfriend Himanshi Khurana and said that it was also last minute. He added that the actress was shooting for a film at the time and no celebrity can spare 50 days for a show on last minute notice.
