Amidst rumors of fake pregnancy, Dipika Kakar wishes to quit acting and become a housewife

Dipika Kakar is currently expecting her first child with her husband and actor Shoaib Ibrahim. In a recent interview, Dipika confessed to wanting to quit acting and live her life as a mother and housewife. She also broke her silence on battling trolls who have been calling her pregnancy fake in one of her latest videos on Youtube.

Talking about the same, Dipika Kakar revealed to Pinkvilla about her conversation with her husband to quit acting and become a housewife. The Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo actress said, “I am enjoying this phase of pregnancy and welcoming our first child. The excitement is on another level. I started working at a very young age and continued for about 10 – 15 years at a stretch. As my pregnancy journey began, I told Shoaib that I don’t want to work and want to quit acting. I want to live a life as a housewife and mother.”

Apart from this, Dipika Kakar also lashed out at the trolls who have been calling her pregnancy fake. She called them out for spreading unnecessary negativity in her life. The Paltan actor said, “How much negativity will you spread? Be it pregnancy, or celebrations or profession, or a relationship between husband and wife, you have to spread negativity. And, then you go ahead and blame us for being fake? We are nautanki baaz?"

Earlier her husband Shoaib Ibrahim also came out in support of her over their family facing accusations of being alleged fake. The Ajooni actor said, “There are some people who feel Dipika is faking her pregnancy. They write stuff like 'kitne pillows badlogi, Accha har month Takiye ka size change kar rahe ho, Waah kya shaane ho (How many pillows will you change? You are such cunning people, you keep changing the pillow size each month).' We can’t do anything about them because their mindset is such. We don’t bother anymore. We are very happy as a family."

The actress was earlier seen in Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum opposite Karan Grover. Dipika Kakar had announced her pregnancy earlier in January. She had become a household name with her lead role in Sasural Simar Ka.
