Akanksha Puri, Mika Singh remain friends after Swayamvar Mika Di Vohti, actress confirms they are not a couple

Akanksha Puri who was declared the winner of Mika Singh ’s televised bride hunt Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti has now said that nothing about her relationship with the singer has changed. The actress who entered the show as a wildcard and ended up winning the contest has said three months after the show’s conclusion that she and the singer are friends and not a couple.

As has been the case with most swayamvars we have seen on TV, Mika Singh’s hunt for a life partner concluded without a promise of marriage. There was no declaration of love or feelings and many predicated post the show that Mika and Akanksha would eventually not tie the knot and called the match a fixed one.

Aksnksha’s recent statements in an interview with Times of India confirms that the former friends turned partners from Mika Di Voti are not intent on marrying anytime soon.

“Yes, the swayamvar was about choosing a partner, so we decided on each other as we have known each other for almost a decade. We have never said that we are in love or displayed any romance. We were clear that we were looking for a life partner and preferably someone who has been a friend. But post the show, nothing has changed between us and we continue to be the same old friends that we were,” Akanksha told the publication.

Like before Akanksha reiterated that she is taking things slow with Mika and hasn’t yet dismissed the impending marriage that everyone was expecting would be the outcome of the show. The actress, instead said that both her and Mika are busy with work and that since they are workaholics, they are respecting each other’s commitment to their professional life.
