Singer Mika Singh and actress Akanksha Puri have known each other for 13 long years. While there were some rumors back in 2020 which suggested that they were dating, it was later clarified that they are just good friends. Well, the beauty left audiences as well as the singer surprised recently when she confessed her love for him and entered Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti as a wild card contestant. In the finale episode, Akanksha beat finalists Prantika Das and Neet Mahal and emerged as the winner of the show, becoming Mika’s vohti-to-be.

While some fans congratulated the happy couple, many other netizens trolled them. They wondered if Mika and Akanksha were already dating and the show was scripted. Well, Akanksha has now broken her silence and hit back at those who are accusing her. In a chat with ETimes, the Bighnaharta Shree Ganesh actress shared, “I would like to reiterate that this is not a sham.” She explained that things gradually happen over a period of time.

Akanksha was further quoted saying, “My entry in the show was not planned. In fact, he was surprised when he saw me as a wild card contestant. Mika and I have been friends, but we haven’t dated or romanced each other. Marriage is a big decision, so one has to think a lot before taking the plunge. You can’t get married just after completing some tasks on a show.”

Soon after the show ended, Mika and Akanksha were spotted together when they stepped out for a date night. Well, fans are now waiting to see if they will actually tie the knot or part ways like many other celebrities who met through swayamvar shows. We wish them all the happiness!
