    After Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul’s actors Tunisha Sharma ’s suicide and Sheezan Khan’s court proceedings, the makers have decided to resume the show shoot with a new cast. Reportedly, Avneet Kaur and Abhishek Nigam have been considered to play the lead roles in the TV show that airs on the Sab TV channel. However, there is no confirmation as yet made on the developments.

    If the reports are to be believed, Aladdin Naam Toh Suna Hoga fame Avneet will not be replacing Tunisha but would be cast as the new Mariam on the show. While, Abhishek Nigam, who shot to fame with Hero: Gayab Mode On, will play Ali Baba. The two would be sharing the screen space for the first time. As per reports, the show has begun shooting in a new studio, they will resume the shoot in the old set once puja has been done to bring positivity to the show.

    For the unversed, Tunisha Sharma played the lead role of Mariam on the show co-starring Sheezan. On December 24, she died by suicide on the sets of the show in the make-up room of Sheezan. The two actors were reportedly in a relationship and had split just 15 days before her death. Post Tunisha’s demise, her mother filed a complaint against Sheezan for abetting her suicide, following this, he was arrested by Mumbai police and kept under 14-day custody.

    Most recently, Sheezan’s family held a press conference and rubbished all the allegations put against him. Instead, they alleged that Tunisha’s mother Vanita Sharma was a negligent mother. They also alleged that the late actress’ mother tried to strangulate her and control her finances. Currently, Tunisha’s death case is under investigation, and Sheezan’s bail plea is due for hearing on January 7, 2023.
