A few days before, Asim Riaz had grabbed several eyeballs for taking a dig at the makers of Bigg Boss 13 in an explosive interview with host Siddharth Kannan. He had claimed that the makers did not want to make him win so they brought in live voting at the last moment. Now, his brother Umar Riaz who was seen in Bigg Boss 15 and was evicted mid-way for alleged violence towards Pratik Sehejpal has also taken a potshot against the makers of his season.
Umar was also seen in a candid interview with Siddharth Kanan wherein he opened up about his eviction. Siddharth read out Umar’s tweet wherein he compared Archana Gautam being brought back on Bigg Boss 16 despite being evicted once for violence against Shiv Thakare. But he instead never got a chance to return in his own season. Umar told the host that the makers of Bigg Boss 15 were biased toward the other names on the show who were already established names in the TV industry.
The actor-doctor was heard saying that his season had popular names from the industry like Karan Kundrra , Jay Bhanushali, and Shamita Shetty along with singers like Akasa Singh and Afsana Khan. Umar stressed that he was just a doctor who was working at a hospital a week before entering the show so the makers gave more preference to the big names from the industry. Umar however, felt proud that he had survived 100 days on the show and was only among the 3 contestants left along with Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash who were the non-OTT faces on the same. Take a look at the video clip.
The doctor alleged that the makers did not want him to go ahead to the finale and were waiting for one mistake to throw him out of the show which they eventually got. Umar Riaz recalled how he also had a ticket to the finale but was still evicted unfairly by the makers. For the unversed, Umar’s elimination is still considered one of the most unjust decisions by the fans of the makers of the reality show. On the work front, Umar has been part of many music videos and was rumored to be approached for Lockupp which he recently denied.
