The yet-to-titled show will focus on Daryl Dixon , who has just arrived in France and encounters a new 'super fast' zombie variant.
Since The Walking Dead is nearing its conclusion, the spinoff series is one of several planned spinoff series planned by AMC.
The new spinoffs will focus on Rick Grimes and Michonne, Negan and Maggie, and Daryl and their new adventures in the post-apocalyptic world ruled by the undead.
In a recent interview producer, Scott M. Gimple talked in detail about the show and what fans can expect.
"Daryl is a fish out of water to start with. If Daryl finds himself with new people, he's a fish out of water," the producer said (via FearHQ.com). "In France, in a country that's going through the apocalypse, [it's] an entirely different thing."
"He finds himself having to reinvent himself again, having to find himself again, and also, not being with – probably – the only people in the world he's comfortable with."
These new super fast version of zombie's ares set to man made and Daryl must uncover the truth behind their creation.
The series inspired by classic zombie movie 28 weeks Later, while it has been done before it still sounds fun to watch.
Along with the Daryl Dixon spinoff, AMC Studios is now filming Isle of the Dead, which follows Lauren Cohan's Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Negan into post-apocalyptic New York.
Hopefully, we will get to know more details in the coming months.
