The Sandman trailer - Netflix released a stunning new trailer for the show at San Diego Comic-Con
The first full-length trailer for Netflix's adaption of the critically acclaimed graphic novel was launched at San Diego Comic-Con(SDCC) and has plenty of new footage.
There have been plenty of new trailers and announcements made at this year's SDCC and one of the highlights was Netflix The Sandman .
Based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel by author Neil Gaiman, the show will follow Morpheus aka the god of dreams on a quest to reclaim his kingdom.
The new trailer has a lot of new footage and shows Morpheus reclaiming his helm, ruby, and pouch of sand needed to reclaim his kingdom.
Morpheus must also bring his former servants back under his rule before they bring death and destruction to the human world.
We also see the god of dreams as he travels to his ravaged kingdom as well the gates of hell where he meets Lucifer played by Gwendoline Christie of Game of Thrones fame.
The main antagonist of the series seems to be The Corinthian(Boyd Holbrook) a powerful nightmare and former servant of Morpheus who is wreaking havoc in the human world.
We also see more of Death, Desire, Lucifer, Abel, Gregory the Gargoyle, Johanna Constantine in the trailer.
The cast of the show includes Tom Sturridge, Gwendoline Christie, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Asim Chaudhry, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Mason Alexander Park, Donna Preston, and Jenna Coleman.
The show will consist of 10 episodes, with Neil Gaiman, David S. Goyer, and Allan Heinberg working as the showrunners.
The Sandman will stream on Netflix on August 5, 2022.
