The Romantics trailer: Amitabh, Shah Rukh, Salman talk about Yash Chopra's legacy but Aditya Chopra's first-on-camera interview takes the cake

The much-awaited trailer of the Netflix documentary series celebrating legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra was unveiled on Wednesday (February 1). Three generations of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan , Shah Rukh Khan , Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and other actors spoke at length about the late filmmaker and his legacy. But it was the announcement of camera-shy Aditya Chopra ’s forthcoming interview in the series which is making the headlines.
The trailer opens with Rani Mukerji being asked what she thinks about the word ‘Bollywood’, later Amitabh, Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were seen reacting. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra then heard saying, “35 people to interview huh?”Following this actors who have worked with the late filmmaker including Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Hrithik Roshan, and Bhumi Pednekar, among others then share their experiences and views. Then comes scenes and songs from Yash’s films and Karan Johar says, ‘it was Yash ji’s movie that caught my eye’. Further, stars were seen sharing their anecdotes with Yash among which Ranveer reveals that Yash sir was the one who first discovered him and saw talent in him.
Towards the end, the makers reveal to the stars that Aditya has recorded his first on-camera interview for the series which leaves them surprised. And the trailer concludes with the big wait. For the unversed, Aditya, director of India’s longest-running film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ gave an interview to a print magazine back in 1995. It will be a treat for his movie lovers to actually get to hear and see him facing the camera and talking about his father and films after twenty-eight years.

It will release on February 14, i.e Valentine’s Day to pay tribute to the father of romance in Indian cinema, Yash Chopra.
