The much-awaited teaser of Yash Raj Films’ maiden OTT production The Railway Men has finally unveiled on Saturday (October 28, 2023). The four-episode series based on the 1984 Bhopal gas leak tragedy, features four railway men played by R Madhavan, KAy Kay Menon, Divyenndu and Babil Khan who goes beyond their duties to save helpless city.
The one-minute-twenty-three second-long clip begins with an accident in an industry which leads to gas leakage engulfing the entire city of Bhopal. Next, R Madhavan’s voice is heard saying, “Ek hadsa hua hai.” He goes on to describe the grave situation while the citizens are seen rushing out of the city to save themselves from fatal gas. Madhavan informs the station master(Kay Kay) about the industrial disaster and begins a mission to save lives. Babil Khan as loco pilot and Divyenndu as constable join their mission to save lives on a tragic night.

The series has been inspired by the night of December 2-3, 1984, when highly toxic methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas escaped from the Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) plant in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
