In the Instagram post, Karl Urban who plays Billy Butcher announced that the fourth season will start production soon.

In the post, he can be seen alongside with his costar Jack Quaid plays Hughie Campbell in the show.

But what is interesting is a comment by Jensen Ackles comment ("Pour me a double... I'm on my way"), which has led to rumors that he would return as Soldier Boy in the next season.

In the third season, The Boys were able to stop Soldier Boy before he went supernova and they are able to put him back on ice.

If Soldier Boy does return it will be interesting to see who is responsible for releasing him again, the only person who seems most likely could be Stan Edgar the former CEO of Vought, who is currently in prison.

While plot details remain a mystery, we do know that Cameron Crovertti who plays Homelander's son Ryan has been made a series regular.

With Orange Is the New Black‘s Susan Heyward and The Following‘s Valorie Curry joining the fray as rookie Supes Sister Sage and Firecracker, respectively.

The main cast of the show includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, and Karen Fukuhara.

All three season of The Boys is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
