Sidharth Malhotra on Indian Police Force: ‘I had always wished to work with Rohit Shetty sir’

After making it big in Bollywood, ace filmmaker and action king Rohit Shetty is all set to take digital platform by storm with the latest addition to his cop universe, Indian Police Force. The 8 part web series, which stars the handsome Sidharth Malhotra in the lead, was officially announced last week. Makers gave fans an exciting promo as the show went on floors and soon Shetty introduced us to two more members of his squad-- actress Shilpa Shetty and actor Vivek Oberoi .

Indian Police Force: Sidharth Malhotra makes an impressive entry as the hero of Rohit Shetty’s digital cop universe 

At a recent promotional event, filmmaker and host Karan Johar asked Sidharth, who made a debut with the film Student of the Year, about his experience of working with Rohit. ETimes quoted the actor saying, “I had always wished to work with Rohit sir. As far as the slow-motion shot from the Indian Police Force teaser goes, I was just walking. The cinematic experience and the larger-than-life feel is all from Rohit sir's vision and execution. His team's efforts make it easy for us actors.”

Talking about Indian Police Force, the filmmaker shared that he wanted to make an Indian show which could rival the big shows from Hollywood and the West. He explained, “I have always wanted to make a big international show born from India, one that can make a mark on the global stage.” Well, looking at his past record with super hit cop dramas like Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi , we can already predict that Rohit Shetty’s web series will be one to look out for.
