Two of the most loved, talented and versatile comedians of our country, Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma were unstoppable together. That was until their big, infamous fall out on a flight. Soon after, Sunil quit Kapil’s show and decided to fly solo, much to the dismay of fans. Ever since then, audiences had been eagerly waiting for them to bury the hatchet and reunite. Well, the day is finally here. Kapil and Sunil had shared the news 2 months ago but yesterday they officially announced their new series, The Great Indian Kapil Show, which will arrive soon on streaming giant Netflix.
Fans were over the moon with joy with the hilarious announcement, where Rajiv Thakur joked, “Grover bhai ke aane se budget kum ho gaya hai.” Well, a video of Kapil and Sunil’s fun nok-jhok from the launch event has now surfaced on social media. In this video, which is sure to leave you in splits, Kapil sweetly welcomes Sunil to the stage and asks where he was all this time. Sunil casually replies, “Backstage.” The two then share that they have been following each other’s work. Sunil even mentions Kapil’s film Zwigato. But when asked if he watched it, Sunil retorted, “Nahi, maine bhi nahi dekhi.”
Kapil was left speechless, but he soon hit back, “Aapko pata hai yahi baaton se phir jhagde ho jaate hain.” As we can already see, they bring out the best in each other and fans couldn’t agree more.
