Actor Nandish Sandhu decided to break away from his flourishing TV career and pursue a larger goal sometime ago, that is films. The actor who for several years has been waiting patiently to land a good role in films has now revealed how much he has had to struggle in this journey, professionally and financially.

Appearing in the web series Undekhi this year, Nadish told New 18 in an interview that when he was making the transition from TV to films he was discouraged by many who told him to either forget his TV career entirely or wait patiently.

Talking about how waiting for good work often got frustrating Nandish told the channel, “I have gone through financial problems. I have gone through phases where I was frustrated because I wasn’t getting enough work or I was not getting calls for good work. It was difficult for me to reach out to people.”

He said that rejections kept him motivated even though at times he felt he should go back to TV but ultimately his patience paid off.

The actor recalled in the same conversation how early in his career he had no idea about how to get in touch with producers and ask for work. Nadish said that he had once upset a director by sending him a text on WhatsApp and how he was reprimanded by his agent for it.

The Uttaran actor admitted that things have gotten relatively easier now as he can reach out to people on social media. He called the negativity on social media the challenge of the current world.

Nadish whose latest outing has been Undekhi 2 on Voot was last year seen in the critically acclaimed series Grahan.
