Ms. Marvel directors reveal that 'The Marvels' director Nia Dacosta helmed the season finale post-credit scene

In a recent interview directors, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah who helmed a few episodes of the first season of Ms. Marcel including the finale revealed that Nia Dacosta directed the post-credit scene.

The post credit for the finale had a surprise cameo from none other than Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers( Brie Larson ).

In the scene, Kamala Khan switches places with her idol, this ties directly into the upcoming ' The Marvels ' movie.

The sequel to Captain Marvel will have Danvers team up with Ms.Marvel as well as Nick Fury.

In the interview Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah talked about how the scene came into being as well how Kevin Feige managed to surprise them.

"So, that was actually — Nia DaCosta shot that while she was shooting The Marvels. She was on set with Brie Larson and Iman, and she didn't know that scene was going to be used for the post-credit scene. Marvel is very good in separating all the things.

    They went on to add

"So, we would always ask Kevin [Feige], "Yo, when's Captain Marvel going to show up?" And he would always tell us, "Don't worry about it. You'll see." Meanwhile, he has said to Nia DaCosta, "Just shoot that scene. We need that. And you'll see." And all of a sudden, when we were calibrating the final episodes after the credits, we said, "Oh. There's Captain Marvel." So that was a big surprise for us, as well. But it was pretty cool. It was pretty cool."

While the plot of The Marvels remain a mystery, the post credit scene does reveal that both Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan's superpowers are connected.

The movie is set to release in 2023 and stars Brie Larson, Iman Vellani , Teyonah Parris, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.

Meanwhile, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are busy with the post-production work of their upcoming DCEU superhero movie Batgirl , which is set to release this year.

The Marvels will hit theaters on July 28, 2023.
