Mahaan Trailer is out and this looks like a comeback for Vikram

Mahaan which is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video next week is one of the most anticipated Tamil movies of the year. Karthik Subbaraj who is known for making some of the best Tamil movies of the past decade like Pizza and Jigarthanda is working with Vikram for the first time.

The trailer shows Gandhi Mahaan played by Vikram a mild-mannered commerce professor with a wife and a son and his eventual rise as one of the biggest liquor barrens in the state.

In the trailer, we see Mahaan who is the son of a Gandhian and a strict supporter of banning the sale of alcohol abandon his wife and son and turn to a life of crime.

Dhruv Vikram will be playing the role of Dada , Mahaan's estranged son who wants revenge on his father for abandoning him and his mother.

This will also be the first time real life father-son duo Vikram and Dhruv will be playing the role of father and son on the big screen and it will be interesting to see their chemistry.

The trailer also has a few action set pieces and both lead actors look really good in them, this movie feels like a comeback for Vikram whose last few movies have not done well.

The rest of the cast includes Simran , Bobby Simha , Vani Bhojan, Sananth. Deepak Paramesh and Vettai Muthukumar 

The movie will premiere worldwide on Prime Video starting 10 February and will also be available in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada. In Kannada, the film will be titled Maha Purusha.
